Studio Spring 2020 Newsletter

Dear Piano Parent,

During these unique Covid-19 times, I know we have not been able to have the normal in-person piano lessons, piano competitions/festivals, or the studio piano recital. However, I hope everyone has still been able to enjoy making music and practicing piano at home! I am quite proud of how quickly and smoothly students have handled the transition over to digital lessons. I also want to acknowledge and give lots of thanks to you parents who have assisted in smoothing out technical kinks, supporting piano lessons in regards with the theory assignments, and so much more!

Here are a few piano updates:

Welcome to the studio, Anderson! Anderson joined in January 2020 as a beginner student and has made tremendous progress in his music knowledge and skills.

Other Studio Highlights
For the studio incentive of “100 Pieces Journey of Treble Clef,” Audrey is currently in the lead having learned 73 pieces! She is closely followed by Violet, who has learned 72 pieces. This studio incentive started last May, and to make it a bit more fair, students have to learn longer and longer pieces over time for them to count toward the incentive. Keep it up everyone! Students in the studio have learned and passed a total of 287 pieces since January! WOW! That is a lot of pieces!
